I would charge right into the most intense part of the battle.
I would stay on the outskirts of the battle, picking of easy targets.
I would stay with a small squad and work my way through the enemy.

Use the extra time to practice my fighting skills.
I smash things.

Up front where I can do the most damage.
Towards the middle with the bulk of the group.
In the back so I can sneak up on unsuspecting enemies.
I never left the castle!

Try a fake flanking manuver but actually send the main force up the middle.
Sneak up on them during the night and take them out.

Fight through the pain.

Yes, after awhile.
